Trauma-Informed De-Armouring: A Somatic Approach to Sexual Trauma Resolution, Nervous System Rewiring & Fascial Release Developed by Riihannon Wilde & Jeroen Cops
Light and Shadow _edited.png

Our Trauma-resolution de-armouring method can assist you in facilitating your clients to rewire at a root level,  move beyond resistance, defense mechanisms, and subconscious mind, and open the body to natural life force flow, profound power, pleasure, and awakening of their soul potential.

What it is

The HEA De-Armouring Method & Art is a specialised, trauma-informed somatic approach to releasing stored trauma, tension and protective patterns from the body's tissues, fascia and nervous system,  and returning the body to its natural state of openness, life force flow, embodied power and soul alignment.

Developed over 15+ years of clinical practice, personal embodiment and professional refinement, it is the most comprehensive and ethically rigorous professional de-armouring methodology available in the world today. It is both a method and an art.

The method provides a complete professional framework,  grounded in neuroscience, polyvagal theory, fascial anatomy, trauma psychology and somatic experiencing.

The art is what cannot be taught through technique alone: the quality of presence, deep feminine attunement, somatic sensitivity and non-interference that determines whether a session creates genuine healing, or re-armouring.

What de-armouring is

Armour is not weakness. It is intelligence.

When the body experiences trauma,  physical, emotional, sexual or relational, it responds by tightening around the wound. Fascia contracts. Muscles brace. The nervous system locks into protective patterns. The body does precisely what it is designed to do: it protects.
But armour that is never released becomes a prison. Chronic tension in the jaw, the shoulders, the pelvis, the pelvic floor. Numbness where sensation once lived.

A disconnection from erotic life force, from pleasure, from the body's deepest wisdom. A nervous system so conditioned to survival that it has forgotten what safety feels like.De-armouring is the skilled, trauma-informed, somatic process of releasing this held material,  layer by layer, in the body's own time, at the body's own pace,  with the practitioner's unconditional presence as the primary healing instrument. It is not massage. It is not physiotherapy.

It is not a peak experience or a cathartic breakthrough pushed through by force or technique. It is a precise somatic art that works simultaneously with the fascia, the nervous system, the breath, the erotic body and the soul,  slowly, reverently, sustainably,  to release what has been held and restore what has always been there.

What differentiates our de-armouring approach and method from other de-armouring trainings?

The HEA de-armouring method combines trauma resolution techniques from several modalities: somatic psychology, polyvagal-based nervous system regulation, myofascial release therapy, psychosomatic bodywork, and trauma-informed tantric touch. This integrative approach allows practitioners to work with complex trauma, sexual trauma, developmental trauma, and attachment wounds stored in the body

What makes the HEA method different

Not all de-armouring is the same.
De-armouring exists on a wide spectrum,  from intense, high-activation approaches that push the body through peak experiences, to soft, subtle practices with little professional framework. What separates one de-armouring method from another is not the name. It is the philosophy behind the touch, the depth of the trauma intelligence, the ethical framework, and the embodied experience of the practitioner holding it.

The HEA De-Armouring Method is built on a foundation that most de-armouring trainings do not teach,  and some are not even aware they are missing.

It is rooted in a deep feminine approach.
Not feminine as a gender concept. Feminine as a quality of working. Receptive rather than directive. Following rather than leading. Listening to the body's intelligence rather than imposing a therapeutic agenda upon it. The HEA method never pushes. It creates the conditions for the body to open itself.
It is rooted in deep somatic attunement.

The practitioner learns to read a body,  its armour, its history, its trauma patterns, its longings,  not through assessment or protocol, but through somatic sensitivity.

Through the quality of contact. Through presence so complete that two nervous systems begin to co-regulate, and the client's body recognises it is finally safe to let go.

It is rooted in the body's own timing.
There is no forcing in HEA de-armouring. No pushing through resistance. No manufacturing a release. The body's defence mechanisms,  tension, shutdown, dissociation — exist for intelligent reasons. They are honoured. The practitioner's role is not to break through armour but to create such a quality of safety and presence that the armour no longer needs to exist.
It is rooted in a complete understanding of trauma timelines and types.

Most de-armouring approaches do not distinguish between types of trauma, stages of readiness, or nervous system states.

The HEA method trains practitioners to read precisely where a client is in their trauma resolution process,  and to respond to what is actually there, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. Every body is different. Every trauma timeline is different. The method follows both.

It is rooted in sustainable integration,  not peak experience.

The difference between a powerful experience and a permanent shift is integration.
EA de-armouring is not designed to create dramatic, intense releases that leave the client ungrounded and overwhelmed. It is designed to create slow, sustainable, deeply integrated shifts,  where each layer of armour is released at a pace the nervous system can genuinely absorb and rewire around. The body is not a performance space. It is a living system that heals in its own time.

The five stages of trauma resolution,  the core of the method
The HEA method works with a complete, five-stage model of trauma resolution. This is the map that guides every session, every practitioner decision, every moment of touch or stillness.

Stage 1 - Unconscious
The wound is present in the body but the client has no awareness of it. Chronic tension, emotional patterns, sexual disconnection, relational difficulties — all present without a known origin. The practitioner learns to read the body's unconscious holding with somatic precision.

Stage 2 -  Aware
Awareness begins to surface, often accompanied by shame, confusion or the tender vulnerability of finally seeing what has been carried. The practitioner holds this with complete non-judgement and creates the safety for awareness to deepen without becoming overwhelm.

Stage 3 - Releasing
The body completes the interrupted trauma response — the survival energy that was frozen mid-expression. Releases may come as emotional expression, breath shifts, spontaneous movement, sound, shaking. The practitioner holds the complete arc of this release without interference, without rushing toward a conclusion.

Stage 4 - Rewiring
This is where HEA goes further than most de-armouring approaches. Release alone is not enough. Without rewiring — without the creation of new neural pathways and new somatic imprints — the nervous system defaults back to its old patterns and the body re-armours over time. HEA trains practitioners to guide genuine rewiring: the creation of new experiences of safety, pleasure and aliveness in the body that directly counteract the trauma wound. This is where erotic life force becomes a healing agent. Where pleasure — approached with ethical precision and somatic intelligence — becomes the medicine the body has been waiting for.

Stage 5 - Integrating
The new imprint is embedded into daily life. Relationships, choices, embodied identity — all begin to align with the client's essence rather than their survival patterns. Trauma becomes integrated wisdom. The body remembers what it has always known.

The full professional toolkit
The HEA De-Armouring Method trains practitioners in a complete and integrated toolkit that draws from multiple traditions and disciplines:

Fascial and myofascial release - working directly with the connective tissue that stores the body's trauma history. Slow, sustained pressure that listens to the tissue rather than forcing it — and follows the body's own unwinding process.

Polyvagal-informed nervous system support - reading and responding to the client's autonomic state throughout the session. Using breath, presence, voice, eye contact and pacing to support co-regulation and guide the client toward ventral vagal safety.

Soul guidance and inner child healing - working with the soul dimension of the client's experience. Meeting the parts of them that hold the oldest wounds,  with the quality of presence those parts have always been longing for.

Psychosomatic and emotional point work - understanding how specific emotional histories live in specific areas of the body. Working with the body's psychosomatic intelligence to support the release of emotions that have been stored rather than expressed.

Tantric touch and the four elements -  touch as a transmission of presence rather than a mechanical intervention. The practitioner as a channel for unconditional love, life force and somatic intelligence.

Breath, sound and movement -  the three primary vehicles through which energy, armour and survival patterns move out of the body. Training clients to use their voice, their breath and their physical expression as fundamental tools of their own healing.

Somatic and soul guidance - working with the client's consciousness, their relationship to their own essence, and the meaning-making dimension of their healing journey.

Sexual de-armouring and erotic life force work - at the advanced levels, working with the most vulnerable and most powerful dimension of human embodiment. The pelvic body, the erotic life force, and the complete restoration of a person's relationship to their own sexuality,  with the highest professional ethics, the deepest skill, and the most complete trauma-informed framework available.
